The Assisted Living Federation of America is now Argentum. Derived from the Latin meaning silver, Argentum conveys strength and a sense of gravitas while giving a nod to the “silver generation” we all serve. We have changed our name to better represent our role within the dynamic senior living industry, however our mission remains the same: members exemplify the principles of choice, dignity and independence for seniors.

ABOUT: Established in 1990, Argentum is the largest national trade association exclusively dedicated to professionally-managed, resident-centered senior living communities. Argentum’s member programs promote business and operational excellence through education, research, publications, professional networking and online tools designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurism in the field of senior living. 

Argentum, is the largest association exclusively dedicated to the assisted living provider community and the population it serves. ALFA represents over 5,000 for-profit and not-for-profit providers of assisted living as well as a diverse range of organizations involved in the assisted living industry.  The Montana Health Care Association is one of ALFA's 40 state affiliates nationwide.

ALFA is a powerful voice at the national Capitol, working to promote the philosophy of consumer choice and quality of life for seniors. MHCA members who join ALFA can take advantage of conferences, discussion groups, publications, online resources and group purchasing, among other benefits. Members also receive the award-winning "Assisted Living Executive" magazine.
